Well... My Interview was taken up by Stacey(Director of Admissions).
As far as the Interview goes, it started with the standard questions..(why MBA, why Smeal, what after MBA, why did you choose a particular concentration etc etc). My advise to you is to be prepared for those kind of questions..

There were also some non-standard questions pertaining to..
.. contacts that can help you with a post MBA job..
..Community work that you were involved with etc..

Hey guys, I have my interview scheduled for feb 19th. It would be great if people could share their debriefs here. I would also like to know one more thing about the interview procedures. Like do smeal MBA respresntatives add our skype ids to their contacts or do we need to send any invitation? In my case I was asked to send the details such as skype id, mobile number etc to a particular id but didn't gey any confrmation e-mail. So, I was just a bit curious. I also faced such a bizarre situation in another of my interviews. So, I feel I should be clear about it from the very beginning than suffer at the end.

Did you log in with your Penn state user id and password ? Is the site allowing you to book another interview slot or is it showing that you have an interview slot already booked on so and so date and time ??

I am facing same problem as you.When i log in with user id and password its giving me accessibility to book another slot rather than showing ou have an interview slot already booked.

No in my case my booked date is being displayed to the right corner of the screen. now when i try to schedule a webcam interview, in that page also there is a link to cancel the slot...i am sure my slot is booked.

I have made my Interview today.
At the beginning, my webcam went blind. After several attempts, I gave up and started an audio interview. But I can still see the adcom.
The first part is standard:
1) Walk me through your resume
2) Why MBA? Why now?
3) Why Smeal
4) Work experience
...
And some strange questions likes
1) How do you know Smeal
2) Do you use career service at Smeal
3) Do you attend the internship in summer
4) What kind of association will you attend in Smeal
5) Community work
6) 3 contacts you will use after an MBA to find a new job
7) Do you manage a fund (because I am a member of the board)
...
Interview lasted 30 minutes. I feel that I did it better than last year (I am re-applicant.)

Yes. I was asked to submit the optional video essay.

btw.. the interview was a fast rapid fire round! ooof! :D
SO MANY questions in 35 mins... She asked me twice the no:of questions I was asked during Smith's 45 min interview.

Hey guy.. good interview debriefs.. thank you all.. my interview is on 25th.. how did some of you come to know about your interviewer before the interview?? I am not told about my interviewer, Shall I ask about him through email?

Any got any decision letter from Smeal yet?...My interviewer told that though decision date is March 31st, they will release it early.

Congrats on the admit. Can you share your GMAT score? Scholarships are primarily granted on academic & intellectual potential.

In the previous rounds, people have got admitted with full tuition waivers. However, that may be round specific as well. I really doubt if they are going to change the scholarship amount. Although you have a strong GMAT and workex, but the decisions definitely consider a lot more than that.

Hope they offer me few extra bucks to seal the deal. Also, do you have any idea about assistantships that are offered after we reach Smeal? I heard a few offers are don in that way

Yeah, that's true. Assistantship is full waiver. As per my little knowledge, it is offered along with the admission decision. But not sure on that. Check the Smeal website, its mentioned there.
