The list price refers to the price at which an item is sold or offered in a store.

IMO list price and marked price are known as tag price at which the product is intended to be sold.

what-is-the-remainder-when-12-is-divided-by-290193.html#p2237794

Can anyone help me to explain this question? Why the answer is 3 not 2.

You don't need this for the GMAT. Nevertheless, if still curious, you find the closest multiple of -5 LESS than -12, which is -15, and then to find the reminder you calculate the positive difference between that number and the dividend: -12 - (-15) = 3.

but if we divide two negative numbers, their negative signs are cancelled, they become positive.

So? The fact that the division of two negative numbers is positive has nothing to do with finding the reminder. Again, you won't need this for the GMAT, so ignore that question and move on.
