Re: 700 Clubbers...add your name to the list! [#permalink]
I just took the GMAT: 710 (Q 49, V 40). I checked out other score reports and all the reports with Q 49 and V 40 had an overall score of 730 (one report was just a month old). Could someone explain the discrepancy? Could the unofficial score report differ from the official one?

I understand that the percentiles are changing, but could also the calculation of the overall GMAT score change? I would just like to understand if there might be mistake that could account for this. Please let me know what you think.

And did I see it right, you took GMAT second time after getting 700?

Re: 700 Clubbers...add your name to the list! [#permalink]
thanks a lot bb, probably wouldn't have been able to do it without this site. The verbal section was always my strongest. Underperformed on the Q, was getting solid 49-50s on prep software, but I'm not really going to complain.

Yeah i know retaking it might sound dumb at first glance, but I knew that I could blow a 700 out of the water so I gave it another shot. Completely inadequate preparation the first time, plus I have a theory that age and experience can increase your score over time, to an extent. Also, I'm going to be applying a little earlier on in my career path so I figured a really good GMAT score would probably be necessary.

I really do like standardized tests to tell you the truth, and I'm actually thinking of shooting Manhattan GMAT an email about possibly being an instructor of some kind lol. I really have to say that prep was kind of fun.

Thinking about taking the GRE in the next few years, any recommendations on prep ideas and where to look?
