Not sure anyone on here cares at all, but none of my friends care and I can't seem to find anyone as excited about my score as I am.

Score: 740 for 97th
Q: 45 for 74th
V: 49 for 99th
6.0 on AWA

EDIT: Test Date 1/5/2009; began study on 9/23/09

Study: OG was essential, Kaplan prep materials and practice tests

Little concerned that I didn't do better on the quant. I messed up some easy questions early on and know I got the final 3 questions wrong.

Question for the Veterans: any insight as to whether the top schools would care that the Quant is low despite the strong overall score? Not that I will retake, just wondering.

Hi ,
I took GMAT, in October 2009, at the first try, I scored 700, Q 49, V35

However, I am not native and the verbal part was too hard for me.

GMAT Materials: OG 12, Manhattan SC Guide, GMAT Club forums, GMAT club Tests (didn't buy the test but finished as many as I could when they were free for a day ). I don't recommend Kaplan, may work for few but was a total waste of time and money for me.

P.S. I am a fashion merchandiser, so GMAT was untested waters for me fraught with demons and sea monsters. But this site really really helped me navigate through the fog. The fact that I came across so many brilliant people on this site was initially quite demoralizing but once I started getting hang of things it was fantastic. Everything helped me from Questions, to different methods, to suggestions on reading material. But the thing that helped me the most was GMAT experiences and particularly tejal777's.. U go gurl... You guys made GMAT fun for me ( I used to wait for people to comment on the posts and suggest different approaches of solving the same question and then all that was left to do was pick and choose the method that suited you the best ) Oops.. I think my postscript has exceeded its word limit... All in all what i am trying to say is thanx a ton.

P.S. to P.S. The reason I am so late in posting this ( I took my GMAT on Dec 5th) is because I was travelling and also because I am really lazy.

Kudos again for the brilliant site!!
