Decided in August that I'd give b-school apps a shot (more because I was bored at work than anything), initially planned on just applying to UCLA and USC's part-time programs. Found this forum a few weeks prior to the test, though I've been using it more for tips on the actual applications and comparing various schools (now planning on applying to a handful of top programs just to see what happens).
Used the Official Guide and the Princeton Review's 'Cracking the GMAT' books. Found that the practice was the best way to improve in general and you can't beat the Official Guide for that, and the 'Cracking the GMAT' book had some good tips for math review and sentence correction. Also did a slew of
Manhattan GMAT and GMATPrep practice tests (oddly enough never scoring above 710).
