Good point about the January intake... I didn't think too much about it but you are probably right. The January intake probably has a higher yield.

Regarding the actual number on the waitlist, of course I do not know that. I was just trying to point out that I thought that insead had already started accepting people off WL by this point last year. I thought last year they starting taking people off WL by the time they gave out Rd2 acceptances. And this year, they have not taken (almost) anyone off the WL yet?? Not sure.

My main point was that I am surprised how seemingly amazing candidates are waitlisted. The MBA application process is so different from law school or med school! Good luck to all those on the WL!

I am not hopeful of my chances as waitlisted candidate. This year, they have already admitted 480 people. Total number of seats are 500. Last year ,the count by second deadline was around 420. Also, the date to pay first installment of tution fees is november 30. So I guess that is the big day. I am indian and I have given up on my chances. INSEAD has already admitted 63 indians . Last year 53 indians were admitted.

In the Jan 2012 forum, current admits have posted the latest MBA connect numbers. Similarly, for last year, i referred to the MBA connect numbers posted in last year's forum.

Good morning everyone! Yes, there is already an astonishing number of admitted students for the January intake. Nevertheless, according to the info provided by the other forum, there are more than 60 Indians and almost 60 Americans; and we all know that Insead does not admit more than 10% from the same country. Keep faith guys! It will work out!

Have a nice day!

Hello guys!

News from Insead? Anyone got an offer?

If I'm not wrong, R2 addmitted students should confirm their place this week, with the first payment.

Have a nice weekend!

There has been an update to my profile since my application. Did any of you provide additional information to INSEAD and in what format? Did you write an essay with why INSEAD is a fit and all that jazz or just mentioned the specific changes in your profile?

Nothing... absolutely nothing...

I wish I had an indicator somewhere to know if they atleast looked at my application again.

Hi Sachintendua,

I wrote one follow up letter two months ago to stress a part of my profile I thought I had not described well enough in my application. The format I chose was two small essays.

And last week I added a recommendation letter describing my latest professional achievements, I thought it is a strong way to provide updates.

Good luck to you and everyone on the WL, seems like money time next week...

Hello guys!

Friday is the deadline for the final answer to R3 applicants... I believe that we will have some movements on the WL this week.

Sachintendua, if you have something important to say, I also believe that it is worth to give them a call or send an email.

Have a nice week!

It almost seems to me that every week we say there will be news this week. And the result is that we are on the 3rd round decision dates and still nothing. It doesnt look good actually.

I agree, it seems the numbers just didn't make much sense this year... especially what i heard from round 1. Hate applying for other schools while i'm waiting for the final decision.

But just so we cheer up, know of two people who were outright rejected from insead in Round 2 that have applied and been accepted to LBS. If #4 won't take us, we can go to #1

Hi fellow waitlisters,

I am part of the new r3 addition to the waitlist.

Are there any Israeli waitlisters here (hope not)?

Good luck ...
