When it doesn't say anything, I believe it's safe to assume 5PM local time. I wouldn't take the risk of presuming it to be 11:59PM.

Haha yes. Sorry to scare you. My intention for asking was that I wanted to know what documents we have to show (and how much amount) if/when we do get the admit. Since it's allowed to upload now, I thought it's a possibility that atleast one of the GC members may have done it. Just so that I could be prepared for it whenever need be.

I wouldn't worry about it now unless they are going to use the documents to decide scholarships.

Hello everyone. I am in for R1 as well. I am facing a strange issue while trying to complete the online application. The issue is from the 'Education History' page and reads 'Missing previous school history' while I 'preview' the application. Anybody else facing a similar issue?

Hey. were you able to resolve the issue?
Edit: I think I missed the date the degree was awarded. Now the error is gone.
Just need to upload the essays and submit :)

After submitting the application, the system showed the following Application Checklist:

Application ChecklistApplication Submitted: 10/14/2014

Status Details Date
Awaiting Application Fee
Awaiting GMAT Score Report Received by UT-GIAC
Awaiting Transcripts received by UT-GIAC
Received Recommendation Submitted on 10/14/2014.
Received Transcript

I have already sent the official GMAT report to McCombs through mba.com. Do we have to send the score to GIAC separately as well.
What status did you people have after submitting the application and before paying the fee.

The deadline for submitting the application is 14th Oct or submitting the fee?
I submitted the application today on 14th. Hope I would be considered for R1.

Hi!

I submitted my application yesterday night i.e. 13th. After submission, payment and uploading transcripts (the post submission ones), only the fee and transcripts were showing as 'awaited'. The justification for this is that it reflects in about 48 hours. However, for me, the GMAT showed as received. I only submitted my official scores to the program and not to GIAC. You should get this clarified. Please do post when it's resolved :).

Secondly, your app will be considered for round 1. I asked the same question to them before submission, and got the reply that if the app has been submitted before the deadline, it's considered as part of the same round. Fee payment not included. However, your application will not go under review till fee has been payed. Hope I could help here.

Can someone provide more information on the official transcript requirement?

Usually schools ask for official transcripts only to students who are admitted. But Texas is asking it now with the app.
I have not yet requested the transcripts from my college and I know it will take atleast 4-5 weeks to get the official transcripts.
Does it mean that my application will be moved to round 2 if I am not able to submit the official transcripts now?

I have the same problem. Wait an hour and I'll call 'em up.

P.S. On a closer inspection of the application instructions, I don't see them asking for 'mailed' transcripts anywhere. All i see is 'scanned' copies of official transcripts, which is pretty much the standard for all the schools.

In the application they ask for transcripts and after submitting the application they will again send an email for official transcripts.
also these transcripts should match the ones we would be mailing. They also mention that its alright to open the sealed envelopes to scan the transcripts.
Now, I am not sure whether there is a difference between unofficial and official transcripts.

The McCombs School of Business uses a custom application for their applicants. It typically takes 48 to 72 hours from the time the application is submitted before it is processed and received within our system.

Your scores are attached to the EID you provided. When the application is loaded within our system it will be paired with your scores and your status will be updated.

Until then you can ignore the notice on your my status check page regarding outstanding test scores.

I got this reply from the college for my query regarding the test scores

Hi!

That was really useful.
So you sent your application yesterday and today you have paid the fee as well. How fast you got that mail asking for payment.

I had the same doubt long back. I had mailed the adcom asking for clarification. I got this reply -

You will be required to attach copies of your official transcripts to your application once you submit it. You will only be required to mail official transcripts to the school if you are admitted. Lastly, the application will go live next Monday.

So you don't have to send any official transcripts. But you DO have upload the official transcripts on two separate places.
Hope this helps.
