Have you received interview invite already? My recent activity tab only show payment of fee!!

Yes, I received an invite last week in the first wave. I don't think they'd let me request an interview otherwise

got invited to some online reception - i want to be invited to interview!

Sorry to "beat a dead horse" but does anyone have any knowledge of past years R2 timeline with regards to interview invites? Or maybe R1 of this year? Do they typically have such spread out "waves" of invites? I have yet to be part of anything this extreme (in terms of the times between interview invites) at other schools so I'm inexperienced with it. All other programs have just picked a date and notified everyone, or even Booth was spread out, but over a defined week and then over on a fixed date.

I know it's futile to even think about it or over-analyze it, what will happen, will happen - but it's hard not to!!

Rough weather in the NE the last couple of days, doubtful that adcom has been in the office

I went through the Rd 1 posts and see that there were about 3 interview invitation waves, each about one week after the previous one. The first interview wave was on January 20, which would point to the second wave being yesterday or today. As the poster above pointed out, due to weather they may have postponed that until tomorrow the next day. I would expect another wave this week, one more next week, then random invites peetering out thereafter.

Yale University was closed on Tuesday, so expect a slight delay with things.

There's also Welcome Weekend for R1 admits this Friday!! Hope to see many of you around

Ha! That is not going to happen. I'm perfectly happy with my 68-degree, sunshiny days.
But really, for those of you going, please have a fantastic time. I spoke to Bruce a couple of weeks ago and he's extremely excited for all of the stuff that's going on with Winter Welcome. It really is an excellent showcase for the culture of the school - something you really can't get from a blog, a forum, or a ranking, but something that also makes a humongous difference to your experience and the connections you have after you get out.

Good luck to everyone waiting. I'd estimate that the next wave will go out soon. If you look out there, Bruce & his team have spoken publicly about how they review applications, which should give you some insight into the way it works.

Sorry to ask again, but I have the same question as others.. Any Indian applicant who has got an interview call?
And what about Yale SS candidates? Have they started sending out invites to Silver Scholars?

None that I know of ...

Hi everyone - this is my first post ever on GC. Been going through the posts for Class of 2017 applicants and I'm loving the supportive community!

I'm an international applicant and got an interview invitation on Jan. 23 late in the day. I was pretty shocked when I saw the email. Super excited and honoured!!

This will sound mad cheesy but regardless of the final results, i really enjoyed the self discovery as a byproduct of the application process.

Would be great to go into the weekend with some good news - congrats to those w/ the invite offers so far.

These invites are long over due! Maybe they decided to postpone until next week given the admit weekend they're apparently putting on.
