Oct 20 would put you into Round 2 as Round 1 deadline was Oct 17. I applied Oct 10th for Round 1 and still have not heard anything from the school.


But they say that they review applications on the rolling basis. There might be a chance that they consider me along with the Round 1 applications. (keeping fingers crossed)!!

That's what they say, but technically they have no obligation to respond to you before their deadline for Round 2, which is going to be months away.

From what I know, the rolling reviews are for star candidates, or for candidates they've met and really like during the Rotman events. If you're in either of these groups of candidates, I'd email your contact to let them know you've applied so they can keep an eye out for your application.

mostly for indian candidates they take interview F2F.They have their asian tour going on.

so maybe for indian applicants response is awaited.

I interviewed over Skype. I already met the admissions directors when they were in India in October so they did not feel the need to do a face to face. They said to expect a result soon.

Hey Priyal, I too live in the middle east and work in financial services. Just wanted to manage my expectations and get a sense of how the school works: could you please tell us when did you apply to Rotman and how soon after your application did you hear back from them? Also what was the process like?

Thanks! The timeline is as follows:
Submitted Application - Oct 15th
Received invitation for interview - Oct 31st
Interview - Nov 4th (actually the email said 3rd Nov, but i had to postpone it by a day due to work commitments)
Decision - Nov 9th

The process was pretty smooth and the interview went very well. Questions included the basic ones like why MBA? what are your goals after an MBA? and behavioral ones e.g. of a time you had a setback, biggest accomplishment etc. and ended with questions for the interviewer. The whole thing lasted 30 mins.

720 GMAT, 9 years workex, 7 in a top tech firm, 2 in a startup of my own. Submitted on deadline day, Interview on the 7th, Acceptance on the 10th.

Has anyone filed an application under the cfa level 3 criterion, taking a GMAT exemption? Any idea if applicants with a GMAT may be given a preference for review of application?

Submitted my app on 16th Oct 16.
