OA is D....but I like E better
Any reason why E is not the best choice? it seems to be the most concise

E.Aho, a Kiowa matriarch, held festivals in her home that featured ---- her home is being modified.

D.In her home, Aho, a Kiowa matriarch, held festivals that featured --- here festivals modified

D is fine. like you, I was voting for E before rereading D

Except C, all other options should be incorrect because they are not parallel. Where am I wrong?

C, apart from the error in the words "who was a Kiowa matriarch in her home" is not a case of ||ism.

the original case is featured x,y and z where x, y, and z are nouns(complex gerunds) in this case, if featuring is chosen it will become a case of superficial ||ism.....

That is not necessary true.
"that" does not always modify the previous noun...

Since "home" is part of a prepositional phrase, "that" can perfectly modify festivals. Please clarify.

Hi everyone,

Guys, can anybody give me a clue what is wrong with "A"? When I compare A and D, I don't see much of difference. The only relevant difference between options is the use of pronoun "they". Nevertheless, I suppose they can only refer to plural noun - which, in our case, is "festivals". Thus, A is correct. I picked D, but I can't explain myself what is wrong in A.

Really good question. I am also stuck between D and E. Both sound grammatically correct and are equally concise.

Nobody is going to clarify this?

IMO, A is wrong because it tries to link two main clauses with just a comma. I am not 100% sure, but "They" should not have non-human antecedent.

I think E is wrong because "that featured..." is a noun modifier and I think noun modifier needs to be next to the noun that it modifies in GMAT. Even if I am wrong and "that featured..." can modify festival in option E, it could also modify home. Since option choice E is ambiguous, I would prefer option D, in which "that featured..." can only modify festival.
