Not sure why everyone is thinking it'll come at noon EST. Judging from round 1, seems like 2pm EST is more reasonable?

Not invited. Oh well, the MBA application process has its ups and downs, that's how it goes. All of us, whether or not it's Fuqua, will end up at a great school!
Plus, it's not over, there's many reasons they might WL you too. This process is all about patience and perseverance.

For those not invited, it's still not over. I have seen people not invited and wait listed on decision day and invited with R3 applicants. Chances are obviously slim, but it's not over until it's over.

Holding on hope is never bad, but at the same time we have to be honest with ourselves, and it is pretty unlikely something similar will happen.
It can happen, but again, is reaaaally unlikely in my opinion.
I really loved the program and when I visited I could really see myself spending two years of my life in Durham, I really liked the location, the friendly atmosphere and so on, but life goes on guys, there is plenty of great programs out there and if we want Duke so bad we can still try again next year.

In my opinion not necessarily. It could come down to "fit", could come down to the fact they didn't think you viewed them as a top choice based on the list of schools you're applying to, etc. and wanted to protect their yield (and move you to R3), among other random reasons. From the results of my own applications thus far, I can say it's been quite random where I've received invites and where I haven't- maybe once the dust settles it won't seem that way, but that's how it seems to me right now

There are Indians in our FB group, so, no, they are not denying interviews to them. It could be just the case of you not displaying fit at Fuqua or they already accepting people who had similar profiles as of you.

This whole process is like a dating game: you can be on your best behavior, look like Brad Pitt (or even hailmary :lol: ), be charismatic and even throw money at the girl, but if she doesn't click with you, she won't marry you!

Edit: Looking at the raw data now, their job placement was bad too, in addition to GMAT/GPA. Without giving away any proprietary information, Duke is ranked the below in each category:

Jobs Later: 23rd!
Peers: 10th
Recruiters: 10th

Looking upthread, it appears that they start calling the morning of decision day. At least that was the case for the earlier rounds. Seemingly starts international, east coast US, west coast US. Presumably will follow this trend, but I suppose there are no guarantees until the calls start rolling in.

FWIW, portal was updated at 5:15pm during R1.


International calls seemed to start going out c. 7am EST; East coast 9am EST - 1pm EST; West Coast 10am-1pm EST with some stragglers I'm sure. That's just from looking at the R1 posts earlier in this thread though.
