Hi All,
Can anyone tell me what the comparison looks like, for an international student, between Iowa Tippie and George Washington University- School of Business?
Any comments from a consulting career standpoint will be appreciated as well.
Gonna bump this up to see if anyone can answer.
From my research into B schools the one thing I can tell about Tippie is that although it isn't necessarily very highly ranked - its a school on the up. It has a pretty good career service and one that cares and that definitely helps when you are international student studying outside those top 20 bschools. The jobs are a little more difficult to find but there is definitely scope if you are ready to put in the hard work. If consulting though is what you are looking for then TIppie is probably not your best bet.
I would take the admit from TIppie over George Washington any day. It's the better school and besides at Washington you are going to find some seriously tough competition from a lot of other good and higher ranked B schools. Again for consulting, your chances are bleak at either school. But in other fields - Tippie wins out. That again depends on if you have scholarship from both schools and how much that schol is.
Tippie's a good school. Just don't expect the job to come on a platter.
