I received the interview invite today at 13:00 (Brazilian Time). They gave me three options: On campus, off-campus and skype. I will probably choose skype.

Any interview tips from the guys of round one?

Hi Rtomer,

I submited the application on December 31st. On the same day they sent me an email confirming they received my documents.

The interview invite was sent on January 14th.

Following the pattern it will probably take 14 days. So, You must not loose hope.

Regards,

Vignicius.

I submitted R1 on the deadline of October 27th and got my interview invite on October 31st. You shouldn't worry about when you should expect to receive an interview, because it differs per candidate.

Arjune, I think it depends on what you're looking for from the school. I am considering a career in consulting and GWU has a great track record with respect to placements in Consulting. And even though it is on the expensive side, I feel the location is definitely a big plus. I haven't done any research on KATZ- so I don't think I'll be able to comment on that.

Do keep us posted on the KATZ results as well :)

Vignicius, Congrats on the interview invite! I had an off-campus interview with an Assistant Director of Admissions. He asked me the standard questions- Why MBA, why now, why GWU. We talked about my roles and responsibilities for some time and what I would offer to a class that would already have a number of people from IT (I work in IT). One question I was not prepared for was "What question were you hoping I would ask you and what would have been your response to it?". We spent the last few minutes for my questions. The interview lasted for around 40 minutes.

All the best for your interview!
