I definitely don't think the 8+ people that joined the facebook group were waitlisters. Not at all. I haven't joined the groups of the schools I got admitted and I'm just not quick on joining groups. Some people join later, some people are accepted to the group by mods later. I mean, let's not overanalyze the facebook group. I think we can compare the 450 members at the HBS group compared to 198...and even Duke's 168 members when the class size is half of Wharton's. But thinking the 8 people who joined in the last days were waitlisters? Lol, I don't think so. I have a few friends on the WL too and haven't heard of any movement. To be honest, I don't think there has been any movement as of yet. Just my opinion. I could be wrong.

If someone's sole intent was to get people riled up, it would be less subtle to just post on this thread. R1 deposits were due earlier this week and R2 interviews are almost over. And I mean, why come here and update the profile but not post on the WL thread? In any case, it would make sense for admits to start trickling but at the same time the waitlist managers were pretty clear in the last email when they said we'll prob here with rd2 in March 29th.

I just think that there should be more than one person getting off the waitlist. Wharton would most probably accept people from waitlist before Round 2 decision on a single day rather than just accepting applicants in batches.
Just my 2 cents!!

Hi all! I have indeed been admitted from the WL. Still not fully registered that I have been admitted yet. My apologies for not posting earlier here.
I found out on 28th night. Was an email saying my admission decision is out to check my application.

I also think there are two aspects.
1) first round withdrawals
2) second round seats
they are now just filling up first round withdrawals, there will definetely be a second waive at the end of March.
