Round 2 decision date is March 30, and the deposit deadline for Round 1 is Feb 27.

I think 2nd of march is the big day then

Why March 2nd, though?
just a guess,
they already have a waitlist, they will call the students who did not put deposit and ask about their decision, if a german dropped out of race, a german on the waitlist will get in, I gave them 2 days to call them and 1 day to evaluate and then friday to shoot out my acceptance :)

Got it, sounds reasonable... Although, wouldn't most folks who don't want to go to Wharton have withdrawn their application anyway?

I don't know about March 2 but I do think that we should have some movement next week...please do post here if anything changes with your application status so we all are in the know :)

Are there any other Wharton Round 1 waitlist forums that people are checking out?

People are all waiting in my opinion, there are people who got accepted to all top programs, there will be a big churn during March.

Same # of acceptances as waitlist from this board. Its prudent management, you know, in case Wharton's yield is 0%.

So... deposits were due today.

Do you guys think we might see some movement this week. Also, the official class of 2014 group on fbook only has 190 members... and a few folks who seem to be going to hbs/stanford. 190 doesn't seem much. The other schools seem to have more members...

I think 190 is a very low number, considering that wharton accepts around 865 applicants. Looking at this number we can calculate that wharton has just only 21.9% of its class admitted. If some of these applicants are going to HBS/ Stanford, then this number is even lower.

I believe waitlist applicants have a good chance. What do you guys think!!

For comparison, I checked the HBS Class of 2014 official page and they have 410 people! Compared to 190 at Wharton. I don't want to get my hopes up but...
