He made 30 mins slot in his crazy schedule.

Well I'm from marketing background, and most of my interviewer coming from IB. Figure I don't have much in common with them so I reach out to that non-IB guy.
Just find someone who you think would talk in same language with you. Guess rest part is luck..
I‘m in China btw.

As we are approaching the end of ED round of applications for Fall 2016 Matriculation, the graph below shows the interview invite progression in time. It is latest as of Nov 12, 2015, 8:43 AM Eastern.

Just submitted my application for Regular Decision. Does anyone know what the approximate lead time is before people from the Regular Decision start hearing back? I assume it depends on when the application is submitted, but approximately after how many weeks should I frantically start checking my email?

6 weeks at the most after they begin reviewing RD, which won't happen until after December 1st.

I've been lurking for a while and decided to finally post:

submitted: 10/7
interview invite: 11/10
interview scheduled: 11/19

first choice interviewer is travelling all month, second choice interviewer accepted after some back and forth.

It is discouraging to see that the late interviewers are getting dinged :(

Question on RD applications submitted before AdCom finished ED applications:

Doeoes the 6 review week period start at the same time for all RD applicants regardless of the date they submitted?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Denied today with no interview. It was a longshot. What an amazing opportunity Columbia would have been. Oh well. Time for Round 1 interviews at other schools and then possibly round 2 schools.

Dont think that there is a pattern to it. If CBS didnt want to admit you, they wouldnt have interviewed you in the first place. Not that interview has a sure shot admittance. The most you can do is to stay positive, give your interview to the best of your abilities and hope for the best. Let us know how it goes.

Is it possible to have a skype interview with the AdCom? Has anyone here heard about such a thing? I'm asking because many people here have 1 or 2 choices for interviewers, who also are saying they are busy.

IMO, I dont thnk that is possible as the interview instructions do mention that "All interviews must be conducted in person". So I am assuming that by "in person" you can not have skype interviews.
