Just got the call! In for J-Term. Call came from an "unavailable" number, though.

Timeline:
Applied: October 6
Application Complete: October 7
Invited to Interview: October 28
Interviewed: November 6
Accepted: November 10


Does anyone know whats the interview/admission rate?

So far of ED applicants on this site this year who have interviewed, 23 have been admitted and 3 have been denied. So interview acceptance rate has been 88%, but there's probably some reporting bias in there.

I read on MBA Data Guru that's it's generally been about 58%, but it's probably higher for ED.

Have any people heard from CBS regular decision? Submitted my app mid-October...just nearing the 4 week mark so not worried yet but wanted to see if any reg decision applicants have heard anything yet!

The first invites wont be out till early-mid December, as per last year but even ED for this year has seen some delayed interview invites. So you might see a bit later than usual application reviews for this application season.

Yes...you are right. One at a time. I moved onto the 2nd one after i got no response from the 1st. Nothing from the 2nd either, so would mailing the 3rd today.

I wouldn't judge Columbia by the interviewer responses. I imagine the correlation between that and responses to actually student/alumni emails are not that good. It's a totally different dynamic when you are responding to someone interested in learning about your company and profession vs. having to interview dozens of people who may or may not get into the program.

I agree with Allday028 's response. I dont think Columbia's process should be compared with the interviewr response as the interview page clearly states that the interviewers are volunteers. Columbia can only control the variables till the time they send you an invite and match you up with an alumni. After that it depends on when you send your email and how busy your proposed interviewer is with their usual routine.

Perhaps do some linkedin research and find someone who might be interesting to talk to? The first guy I reached out to respond in 7 minutes, and just finished interview with him today.
He made 30 mins slot in his crazy schedule.

Typical 3 whys + why not kellogg/H/S, I think it went smooth. Now I just have to wait. Finger crossed!
