As the application season for the class of 2017 is finishing up, I'd like to say congrats to all the folks that were admitted. If you are willing to be someone who I can reference as someone who can help applicants and answer questions, please PM me and I'll list your name.

Recent Yale SOM admit here. I know Kellogg has a similar video interview section to Yale SOM and I just published a post on how to approach the video interview questions. I know this is a scary new format, so I hope the post can help to allay some fears.

Not sure - likely in the next few weeks. I'll make sure to make a post once that happens.

I also spoke to someone in admissions, seems like they may not change much to the applications besides the essays/recommendation questions; however, that could always change..

Thanks - deadlines, which are earlier than last year, are now updated.

Few changes from last year:
Essay questions are different as well as the video essay process changing slightly.

Essays: (450 words each)
1)Leadership and teamwork are integral parts of the Kellogg experience. Describe a recent and meaningful time you were a leader. What challenges did you face, and what did you learn?

2) Pursuing an MBA is a catalyst for personal and professional growth. How have you grown in the past? How do you intend to grow at Kellogg?

Video essays:
Ice breaker/get to know you question- specific question not released in advance.

What path are you interested in pursuing, how will you get there, and why is this program right for you?

Seeing some chatter online about Kellogg changing their recommender questions for this year. (https://essaysnark.com/salespage/mba-rec ... tion-sets/) Does anyone know how they have changed them vs. the standardized questions that HBS/Wharton etc. use?

I am creating "prep" packs for my recommenders and would like to give them a heads up.

These don't seem different at all though, not sure what EssaySnark was on about (prob trying to scare people in to coughing up for their recommender prep services)

Does anyone think we should have the school picture updated to be a rendering of the new Kellogg building? After all, this 2018 class will be the first to experience the new building both years... :-D
