Calling all Kellogg Waitlisted Applicants-2015 Intake (Class of 2017)

Thank you! Well if you end up reapplying you should definitely consider Team Fuqua! Although that said, Johnson and Tepper are both excellent schools so I'm sure you'll be happy wherever you end up. GOod luck with Kellogg.

I believe the actual notification deadline is tomorrow, right? Not sure if Waitlisters only get calls in advance though...

While it may be possible that they already called and no one that is active on this thread got a call, I would bet that is not the case. In Round 2, they have so many more calls to make on the day of the Round 2 notification deadline. Round 3 is smaller, so they likely have time tomorrow (the deadline) to call any waitlisters that are also getting in. Could totally be wrong, but that is what I am optimistically hoping.

Accepted WListers from R1 were called a week before the deadline. All R1 and R2 acceptances came on deadline day.

There is a good chance that calls went out already. In last year's thread, not a single person was accepted on R3 deadline on GmatClub. 5 days after the deadline, a wave of dings came. I know of people that did get in off the waitlist after R3, and none was reported on this forum.

With that said, DYDT has a good point. The volume of calls tomorrow will be very low, so there is still a chance that calls will come in tomorrow as well.

the good news (or bad news) is that the majority of us will finally know one way or another in about a week.

I do remember seeing some dings and stuff come out a bit after the Rd3 deadline. What would be the reasoning for waiting a week vs just doing it on the deadline?? Any thoughts?

Perhaps sorting through waitlisted applicants and doing final evaluations is something the committee/senior admissions officials do after the admit calls. It's probably a pretty busy time for them right now especially with graduation around the corner.

I think for now most waitlist decisions will come out after final deposit deadline instead of R3 notification date, which means many may need to wait until June 3.

Heard nothing from the school yet

I think someone posted - earlier in the thread - that international students will know their decision by RD3 deadline due to student visa timelines. I could see them stretching it by a week, but probably not by a month.

I heard of some international students got off WL in June but that was 2 years ago.
I'm not sure if the new process is good for international students or not. Surely it's good to cut the miserable waiting time, but there might be some spots open after final deposit deadline. If all international candidates have their final decisions in May, they may miss the final chances.
