Yeah I agree. But I don't blame SOM alone on that. Almost all schools have their median GMAT increased year over year. Really annoying. I have a crazy theory that they filter applicants by their GMAT score and then look at other stuff.

It's a little sad because I come from a country where test scores almost mean everything, and once you've performed poorly in a test there's almost no going back as most b schools have algorithms based on undergrad GPA and sometimes even high school scores. The B Schools, in the US, are different because they know (or used to practice) that test scores are not everything. I have a friend who has dyslexia and disgraphia both, and will probably not ace the GMAT, but who is doing really well for himself in a line of work that requires a great amount of analysis and critical thinking.
Long story short, I don't like how this is becoming a numbers game.
