Does anybody know whether they will review your application when they do not receive all your materials? I am curious whether you guys can get the interview when some of the components (GMAT score report, recommendation letter, etc.) are still missing...

One of the people who got an invite in the first round had a letter of recommendation missing.

Something to keep in mind, past years came to the conclusion that if you interviewed the year prior, you may not be invited to interview again. As always YMMV

I wish I could say that I have been interviewed once. Or ever. Yale is playing very hard to get.

Aerien, apparently two rounds of invites have been sent. Based on your experience, how many rounds are there? Or are they not rounds/waves and just random invite days?

I can't say how many since I don't think SOM does set rounds of invites like an HBS does. From what I've seen, people got invites every so often (apologies to all the constant inbox refreshers).

I'll say for R1, if you haven't heard by perhaps mid November, your chances of getting an invite seem to drop. Not impossible but given logistics of setting up interviews and finals schedule on campus in December and whatever deliberation time adcom needs to make final decisions, there may be fewer spots available.

Thanks. Really helpful and comforting. I think oct should be the month for most invites coming in, so i'm still trying to be optimistic.

Interesting. I interviewed for R2 last year and there isn't anything much mentioned anywhere regarding interviews for re-applicants. An interview invite is at least a small positive sign and if re-applicants aren't interviewed again then the waiting to hear back period is going to be a long long one.

Thanks for the heads up though. Appreciate it!

Again that's not written in stone but seemed to be a trend from a (small) sample of GC-ers. If anyone sees an adcom member at an admissions event or MBA fair coming up, may be worth asking to clarify!

I hope so. Although, last year after the first few 'waves', invites became more regular, almost daily.

I think they are almost daily now as well, based off of MBA live wire and info from this site.

I agree! Every time I get notified of activity on this thread, my heart skips a beat. I wish the folks over at Yale put out some sort of official notification regarding the interview decisions soon.
