\(2 X 2\) Matrix

You are Neo (from the movie Matrix) as far as GMAT is concerned :). Awesome detailed debrief. Few unconventional tips which resounded.

Keeping track of number of questions answered in each topic. This gives a big picture overview which is easy to miss in an intensive game like GMAT.
Process adopted for PS. Most of us have a process for DS but not many of us have one for PS. This one is a gem.
CR Question: Having the conclusion at fingertips by the time you finish reading the argument. Prethinking in an abstract manner.
5 min Mini-beak in AWA and preparing grid while reading GMAT instructions.
5 min time bank concept for Q/V sections. This too is innovative thinking.
Warming up before exams(I would say one should do this with every practise test so that it becomes a habit). Something most of us ignore.
Flagging unsure questions while writing CATs.

Excellent debrief....So joining a law school or a Bschool...You have good options ahead.

On an average you completed each mgmat quant guide in 2 days..How many hours did you study? Once you completed a topic did you do OG questions or some more from other resources..?

Thanks for the comments, all. Here are my responses to the questions.

Were any of the MGMAT quant books not worth reading? Would you have read the MGMAT advanced quant book if you had more time?

FDP was the only one that didn't add much value. Every other guide was useful in some way. And I would not have used the advanced quant book had I more time. I felt the 5 regular guides sufficiently covered all the testable concepts. If I were to have studied longer, I would have taken SC more seriously.

One question though: "For something as controversial as grammar, I do any non-OG SC questions outside of CATs." - I don't really get this sentence. Did u want to say "I would not do any non-OG SC question"?

And one last question: Would it be possible to upload your excel file (without results of course)? That would really be helpful and interesting...

Yes sorry, that was a bad typo on my part. I would not do any non-OG SC questions outside of CATs. I've gone back and edited the original post. And absolutely you can see the excel file. I've scrubbed most of the data, but left in stuff from CAT 1 and 2 to keep some cells populated as it'll be easier to understand the spreadsheet that way. I have IFERROR() functions and formatting that make some formulated cells appear blank.

"Prep Summary" pulls question counts from all other tabs to aggregate counts
"CATs" is where I broke down CAT results to chart accuracy
"psets" is all the non-CAT questions I did
"error log" is what is it. I just pasted over values from the MGMAT excel exports. As you can see, I didn't bother to do any analysis - just set up a simple counter along the top
"GMATPrep Tracking" was a counting sheet I set up to get data for my GMATPrep CATs since it's otherwise unavailable

3-5 hours a day was the norm. I think the rate I was aiming for with the quant guides was ~1.5-2 minutes/page. So if a guide was 120 pages, I went through it in about 3-4 hours. I didn't do OG questions or anything right after finishing; I just moved on to the next guide. During the last week, I flipped through the quant guides again to revisit some tricky topics like combinatorics and inequalities.

Excellent debrief. Very good "Review of Materials" and "Advice on the Finer Nuances" apart from other sections.

Thx Neo(2x2Matrix) :)
