A big shout out to all the applicants for the SMU Cox FT MBA applicants of Class of 2018. I am a current first year student at Cox School of Business. Our session starts August 24, 2015. I am also the threadmaster of this awesome thread.

Nationality - Indian
GMAT - 710
TOEFL - 111 (waived - conditions applied)
Work Ex - 5 year at L&T Limited (Indian engineering giant); Project Management and Engineering
Education - B.E. (Electrical Engineering)

I applied to SMU in R1 last year, and it has been an amazing journey so far, I am psyched to join my classmates for one hell of a ride.

Just submitted my app. The long wait starts !!

Submitted my app. Really excited and at the same time nervous.Hoping it goes all well.
Typically how long does it take to get a decision(interview invite).
Was surprised to see, no recommendations, and references only.Has it been always this way at Cox, or is it something that was started this year.Wonder how the admissions committee, will evaluate candidates without any recommendations at all.Hope all the parts of my app are strong enough for an admit with some funding as well.

Invited to interview. Received the mail at dot midnight yesterday. My second of the season. Anyone else invited?

Invited as well Sharp at 11:59 PM. Haven't registered for the webinar yet. Need to do that.And its my second of the season as well!!!

They also mentioned details of webinar for international students.
Did you guys receive interview dates as well??

Nope. Just that they'll be in touch later for scheduling the interview

Usually it takes one week to ten days to get a call for interview, it took me 15 days. The references thing was the same last year too.

Submitted my app on 07th Oct. I see applicants who submitted app later getting interview invite.Almost 3 weeks after the submission I have not heard anything from Cox.

Portal status just says submitted. Can't figure out whether the application has been reviewed.

What shall I assume - Dinged?

Does anybody know on getting dinged whether Cox notifies the applicant?
