All GMAT CAT Practice Tests - links, prices, reviews

Hey bb,

I have been following gmat club for 2 years now as a silent reader but this is the first time i am writing to a post. Firstly, i really appreciate the initiative of this site as it helps a lot, both when u are really down and low and looking for answers or when you need some inspiration and u read others post and dust the rust and eventually get back up.

Now, coming to my question ,can you please confirm if the description against each tests mentioned in your post above from 2009 still hold true as firstly i took gmat prep test 1 with a score of 640 on the 16th of this month. The problem with this one is it gives you the correct ans but not the explanation.
Secondly, i took 3 princeton review tests and was planning on taking the MGMATs next, but the scores from the princetons (p.s.: where i did like the report card through as it crisply categorically mentioned to me my weaknesses) came quite low (640 on 22nd morn/ 580 yesterday night / 590 today morn), where as my actual gmats score so far is (650 with 49 Q/ 610 with 48 Q/ 630 with 49 Q) ??? And as per your post above princeton is still basics So based on my gmats, i know verbal is the issue now.
P.S.: i took all these princeton tests in a span of 3 days and everytime had atleast 7-10 mins to spare in each section.
I am targeting to get a score somewhere in the ranges of 720-750 on the gmat that I plan to give the 4th time within a month now but I seem to be stuck with the score range of 650 (since past 2 years) and coudn't seem to break through.
Lots of pissed on self, Frustrated & tensed a bit now.

Need help. please suggest. should i go for the mgmats or stick to princeton or do something else, god knows what as the problem is I seem to strike out on CRs in verbal where i drill down to 2 shortlisted answers, mark 1 and the other seems to be right? Not sure even on the approach as to how should i improve my CRs scores. So far, i have solved atleast min 2000 quest per sections.

I read this post of yours and got a good idea to save money on CATs. Actually im just 1 month away from my GMAT and do not really require more than 6 CATs.
So is it true that if we buy a MGMAT strategy guide for about $26 we can get access to 6 CATs of MGMAT?

Also, Im very confused in deciding whether to go for MGMAT CATs or Veritas Prep CATs..... please suggest.... it would be a great help....

Yes you can get access to MGMAT tests by buying study book.
Between MGMAT and veritas i can't comment as i haven't taken Veritas.

Hey,

Please may i know the validity period of Veritas Prep tests that are available at $20 for 6 CATs?

Also can soemone please conpare MGAMT CATs with Veritas Prep CATs. I found both CATs good and MGMAT's analysis quite better.
but im still confused as im to take GMAT on 3rd sep.

Veritas Prep is 1 year. I believe MGMAT is 6 months.

Hello,

I am an E-GMAT student. My subscription with them expires on Aug 15th. While I have requested for an extension, I would like to understand if with my subscription expiring, I would also loose access to GMAT Club's tests? Will the extension have any bearing on this? Please help confirm!

Review GMAT Club test: VERBAL

I took one verbal test today. Surprisingly there was NOT A SINGLE RC question in it.
I got 19 SC questions & 23 CR questions.
Can somebody please explain why did it happen ?

Manhattan tests are more difficult than the real test in my experience. The scores are on average 30 points lower.

Actually, its just the quant. However, the verbal section of it is fairly easy as opposed to the actual gmats. The only test that I have come so far, which is closer to the actual gmats for the verbal section are the gmat preps and also i am assuming the practice tests from gmac would also match the same.

I was just thinking, in what order should I do the CATs? I have three weeks until D-Day... Perhaps mix them up a bit? i.e.

GMATPrep CAT#1,
MGMAT CAT#3
MGMAT CAT#4
MGMAT CAT#5
GMATPrep CAT#2
MGMAT CAT#6

?

Also, what other CATs I could squeeze in between in your opinion?

Hm.... I don't know that it matters all that much. I would save GMAT Prep for the end though, as that is the traditional approach of a CAT hoarder
