wonhok: Do these numbers include the candidates that declined the offer as well? On a fair assumption that INSEAD has offered admit to 200 candidates in R1, 197 offer acceptances seem too good to be true. Or I must be missing something here.
Given this was the count after the first deposit deadline, we must assume that all 197 intend to matriculate.
Yield was probably way lower, but INSEAD can call WL candidates at any time. It's wholly possible that people we are not aware of have been tapped to convert from the WL to reach 197.
but do you think they WL that many people? Looking at gmatclub numbers its under 10%... If offers were at 150, and now at 197... It is nearly a third. I find strange that nobody here has been admitted if thay have made invites to WL people.
I told them I had two offers and if they didn´t make a move by end of the month I would have to with on of them... I am also waiting for LBS... Not sure if it was smart or not.. I clearly told them they were my first option.[/quote]
Last year, Insead informed WL candidates along with R2 decisions. Had they followed the same trend, we/GMATCLUB INSEAD WL members would have received some news. However, we have 4 rounds this year. So the R2 trend may not be valid anymore.
On the other hand, given the low activity in the WL thread it is also possible that some WL candidates have been offered decision.
With too many unknowns any deduction looks like a vague prediction. So my best bet is to ask the adcom whether anybody has been admitted from WL this year
