I applied on 1/15 and haven't heard yet. I'm guessing they're still busy with apps from the previous week.

It should show up on your online application form that you have an update to your application, and you also should received an automated email from Columbia.

Have any EDers or others admitted earlier in the process received any separate notification of fellowship?

FYI, to answer my own question (How does CBS contact people who are overseas?), I got an email from the admissions department to let them know when I was awake. I did, then they called me. Amazing.

Congrats to those who received admit calls/ interview invites yesterday - I am surprised that the adcom was working on US holiday. I submitted my app 6 weeks ago on 1/7 but still havent heard anything. Hopefully I will hear from them soon, but if I dont hear from them, do you think I should email them or just wait out?

Apparently, I confirmed that there is 1 applicant (applied early Jan) who received ding "3 weeks ago"!!. Hoping this late response is they are taking care of me very positively...:-) ...hmmb.

To everyone who is worried about timelines here is a link that CelerIP posted earlier regarding the Columbia admissions process: https://www.mbamission.com/blog/2013/03/ ... ss-school/

Also, here are my thoughts about those who submitted around the 1/8 deadline
1) The merit deadline was January 8th, so I'm sure they received a ton of applications during that time frame. This might make it hard to judge the timeline.
2) Deposits for a lot of people are due shortly, so I'm sure that will give the adcom a better perspective of the number and type of applicants that they are looking for.
3) Maybe the adcom member who is supposed to review your app is swamped with other commitments and is a little slower reviewing applications.

Try not to stress too much. Good luck!

What do you think is the appropriate amount of time to wait before following up with your interviewer about submitting feedback? It's been 5 days for me.

Hey guys...I saw one person wrote that they got offered a merit fellowship during the acceptance notification call. Is that how they usually do it? Has anyone else heard about merit fellowships??

Just got an email today saying decisions are starting to be made and notifications will go out via email in a rolling process between now and the summer. I read that as any fellowships should be treated as a nice surprise if and when you hear, haha.

Did anyone who submitted in February received an invite or rejection yet ? I see that more and more people applying after fellowship deadline started receiving good or bad news.
