CBS is very stingy unfortunately. The numbers of second years with fellowships is apparently very small. They did a reception during the semester for everybody and there were at least twice as many first years as second years. So if money is an issue take that into consideration. Ultimately I just considered the money I got first year as a bonus and am budgeting to get $0 for my second year.

Do you receive a confirmation email from Columbia saying the application is complete and ready for evaluation or something similar? I submitted mine on Jan 7th but have not received anything other than the payment successful email and an automated system email sent immediately after submission.

Hi. I only got a payment received email and another from CBS saying "Thank you for submitting your application to Columbia Business School; we look forward to reviewing it." It seems like that is all you receive (what more do you want!?) and the next email will be when your status changes... Fingers crossed for you!
