I submitted 6 January and am also waiting to hear. I would have expected a large volume of applications just before the merit fellowship deadline, but I also see that some people have already heard (one way or the other!) who had submitted at the same time as me. I'm trying to stay relaxed about it. Hoping that the positive mood over the new year would work in my favour!

FYI for timeline purposes. Just received an interview invite - applied a week or so before Christmas. Probably going to take my name out of the hat.
