As Johnson has unexpectedly made me an offer I can't refuse, I have declined my offer from Kenan-Flagler.

Hopefully this allows one more waitlister to enjoy beautiful UNC, and best of luck to all of you!

I will be declining my offer and most likely will be choosing between my Yale waitlist & Tuck. It feels like breaking up with someone as I really loved the vibe of Kenan-Flagler and how great they have made me feel, first as an applicant and then as an admit. Not to mention the 50% tuition scholarship that I'll be forgoing :( It feels like saying - It's not you, it's me! Hopefully someone on the waitlist will benefit from this. Good luck!

I am so with you on this. I did love the vibe there, and the students were so friendly! I hate to decline (and haven't yet brought myself to actually click the button that says I'm declining), because everyone was so darn nice. But I've already put my deposit down at Fuqua so hopefully someone on the waitlist will enjoy a spot at KFBS as a result. And I'm optimistic that I'll be able to stay in touch with the awesome people there, dark blue/light blue rivalries not withstanding.

When will the final results (for R4 and wait list) be annouced? Does anybody have an idea?
The application portal is showing the status as 'complete'

As per the website, on the 27th of April. Till then, there will not be a change in the application status.

same! just declined a full scholarship. They were the first to admit me so I honestly felt bad. I remember being so excited for that first admit!! Good luck to the WL's.

Not sure at all...
However, me being an international applicant, things are looking bleak for myself.
As it is effectively R4 and international applicants will have very less time to complete all the VISA formalities.

So I am not sure if KF would place their bets on us, hoping that we will get out VISA process done.
If we do not join, this will in turn affect their yield.
Just my hypothesis though ...

The session starts pretty late. I guess it starts in august. So international students will still have enough time for visa processing. I don't think visa processing time will be a factor to select less international candidates. Secondly, last year I think they selected international candidates after the last deposit deadline of may 15 as well. I'm not 100% sure on this but I think I did see that in the last year forum. So for me international candidates should still be hopeful to get admits based on vacancies.

I spoke with an adcom member last week. She said that application volume was up a lot this year (20 or 30 percent). I think she also said that they had waitlisted more people than usual, though I'm not sure of that. She said that their yield had been pretty strong and that the percentage of waitlisted applicants they accept this year is likely to be down from prior years. She also said they take visa considerations into account when making waitlist decisions, though it sounded like that would only start to affect people late in the summer.

Hey man, congrats for the admit.

I recall your last post, where you mentioned that you spoke to the adcom member. Now did you get a chance to talk to the adcom during some visit or did u call them?
Just thinking if you were on top of their head while making decisions.
