As far as I understood from R2, your interviewer will be the one to call, though not everyone who is an admit is guaranteed to get an early call or a call at all. The portals will not be updated until the posted decision day. You will get an email once your status there is updated.

Nope. No such request was made. The emphasis was totally on making the called person feel special and to convince him/her to matriculate. (or may be that's just John's style.) It was said more than once that this year's competition was toughest in last decade.

Dunno. Waiting for rest of the results. My heart was totally set on Tuck, but they dinged me in R1. So this is gonna be hard-headed judgement and not a senti one. ;)
