Congrats to all! I'm in as well!

I got a call over the weekend from an alum, and just for reference he did ask me to NOT post in any forums or websites until the decision release date.

Kind of funny tho, I tried to open the link in my email but it led to a page that could not be displayed o.o $%*#&!? scared the heck out of me!!! I had to login through my app portal to see the official decision.

Phew...they just don't let you down easy don't they

Got in with some kind of fellowship. Very excited.

My fellowship status says this:

"Congratulations! You have been selected by the UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA Fellowship Selection Committee to receive a merit fellowship in recognition of your outstanding leadership, academic performance and career achievement.

You will be sent an email with the details of your fellowship award by the end of the day. Be sure to check your spam folder if you do not receive this email."

Has anyone already received such email? For me nothing came so far.

This was my experience last round as well.

There is a chance, but it probably isn't great. Maybe if you had some significant updates to your application after getting put on the WL. Interacting with the admissions office is probably the way to go.

Unfortunately I do not know this. I applied to Darden and was rejected last year. They gave me a 15 minute "here is why you didn't get in" summary and question time. Each school is different, but the best way to find out is to send the admissions office an email or call and ask them outright. They might make you wait until summer or at least until the main rounds of applications have finished before giving feedback.

That is fine neo656 but have you received the follow up email like this? Even I haven't received any, and R2 admits are saying it came within a few hours.

Got the acceptance yesterday.

The email itself was honestly scary, I got to read it while I was having coffee with a friend and checking every few mins if I got that email. No congratulations or apology, I had to apologize to my friend as it seemed like it took hours to open the application page and see the decision, but I got in!

I didn't receive the scholarship follow-up email either. I think they're probably just very busy and haven't sent them out yet.

Can anyone tell me how many months before starting the MBA course is it safe to quit one's job? I suppose a gap of more than 2 - 3 months could harm the resume?

It depends I guess.

I already quit but I have too many reasons that I can explain to a future employer.

It depends on personal reasons, how long you been in the work force (the longer you've been the easier it would be to overlook this gap), whether you're planning to do anything meaningful in that time, etc.


Anyway, you should definitely not quit before getting acceptance from one of the school's you'd definitely attend.
