It's very uncommon that late, but definitely happened. My guess is that our class was all set, then at the last minute someone changed their mind (either another school or to do something else) so the adcom called the next person on the wait list. They definitely reevaluate the wait list folks after each deadline/response date though, so for most people it doesn't take that long for a final yes/no.

correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't round1 (EA) binding? once you are accepted by KFBS you automatically give up all other schools' applications so it doesn't look too rush to decide on anything even within 5 days, basically you just need to evaluate the cost of tuition etc. and nothing else...

No..the UNC early action round is not binding as the Duke's early round.
The only difference in UNC's early round is that you have to submit a higher amount as deposit (2.5k).

You should be able to check your fellowships on the portal at the link down below the decision link. But the email will be sent later on for the exact amount of it.

My decision page just says: your personalized URL is :........ and then it gives a link to accept the offer...
so I am wondering if they will give any fellowship to people like us or not....

I'm not sure about that then. Mine is on the page of "Check application status", where they state
your decision is available to view
your fellowship status is available to view

Anyway, you should receive email by now. Or others, please correct me if yours are not the same.

While checking the placement stats for 2014 at UNC, I was left wondering why only 87% of the international students( students without US work authorization) got job offers within 3 months of graduation. This figure is relatively lower than many other lower ranked B schools.

guys,
just a query...
any indian candidates with GMAT under 730 received fellowship mail till now?
I was told the mails will come within 7-10 days but I dont see any updates on the forum so kinda wondering if they will be sent or should we assume that we are not getting fellowship..??

I raised this query when my interviewer called today to congratulate me on my admit. She suggested that I check for any update on the fellowship status on the portal during the next 7-10 days. So that would ideally mean that all fellowship offers will be disclosed by 25th Dec latest.

But looking at the fellowship offers already released, I am not really sure on the number of offers that will be extended, if any. If anyone has received any other info on this, please do share.

Looks like the dust has settled on R1 and people know whether they are in or not.
Once again, many congratulations to those who have been admitted! We applicants in R2 would very much appreciate your support and continued involvement in this thread.

For my fellow R2 applicants, time to take over this thread! :D
Have any of you completed your interview? If yes, how did it go? I'm sure others reading this thread would be eager to hear about it.
As for me, I have my interview scheduled with a member of the Adcom on the 16th in my country.

I received an invitation to interview with the Adcom, who are visiting on the 10th of January, in my email today. I was not able to schedule an interview as all slots were full. Did anybody else receive a similar invite?

I did , I was able to select a time and proceed but I have not received any sort of confirmation .

Slots are still available...I just registered for webcam interview on 14th Jan.
Is there a chance that this webcam interview may be changed to personal interview. As I am from Delhi, I can do personal interview.
