Oh, when I said I couldn't schedule an interview as all spots were filled up, I meant it for the self-initiated interviews that one needs to complete by January, 26th for R2. I also signed for the in person Ad-com interview, but haven't received a confirmation email.

The email said that they are inviting only a select candidates for the interview with the Adcom. It also said that you can cancel your self-initiated interview in case you schedule in person interview with the Adcom. So if you received the email, go ahead and change it. Otherwise check with the Ad-com and only then make a move! Good luck with everything!

any early action admit hear anything new on the scholarship..or should we assume that the rest of us are not getting any..

IMO UNC has a lot of emphasis on its values and community. Try to incorporate these in the essays and the interviews, and you will be in a good shape. Do not just plug these in. Show them how you actually follow their values and have the zeal to help the community by your past experiences. All the best!

Hi rrai243! Even I have not received any information on scholarship. Susan Brooks, Asst Director Scholarship and Student aid mentioned this in her mail - "Generally speaking, students are notified of merit-based fellowship awards 7 to 10 days after the offer of admission is extended." So I guess we can still expect something in the next 2-3 days. BR, Apoorva
