Am I missing something here?

We need to send the official marksheets before getting enrolled. The same is not required for the interview and application process.
We just need to upload the scanned copies

Same doubt. What have R1 and R2 applicants done?

I did not send any official transcript at the time of application and as you can see I have been admitted into the program.
When you enroll into the program and confirm your acceptance of the offer, only then they ask for your official docs.

You can book the interview schedule once you have submitted the fees or you have an application fee waiver.
You can submit the application after that. I did the same.

I checked the app portal after seeing your message and saw that my 'Schedule Interview' option was enabled. Guess this was because I had got a mail for application fee waiver. This automation is kinda nice! Just scheduled the interview for February 13th - Friday the 13th!

yes..adcom...there is a list of adcoms on the UNC site..about 8-9 of them if I am not mistaken..it will be one of them..

Kenan-Flagler is doing an Open House and Interview day on the 16th of January.
I am attending this event and have aranged my interview for 10:45am on that same day.
You can book the interview on-campus if you have the chance.
On skype I don't know how it works.

First, KF does not invite you for the interviews, it follows an open interview policy and you have to schedule your interview on your own.
Second, I did not hear back from my interviewer in days leading to the interview.

The interview should happen at the scheduled time.
I do not think they mail anything before the interview.
Be sure to add them to skype though.
