Дякую, bb - I can't even describe how invaluable this forum is.
I came across this topic accidentally, but decided it was worth reviving :)

I suppose I'll add my name to the list while a 760 still counts. Some days I wish that I could have done better (if you read my story, the quant only started to click for me days before the exam), but perhaps I'm better off with this score so that I don't get overconfident and that I maintain adequate focus on other areas of my apps.

Do I get bonus points for being over 40 years old?

I'm sure you get this question alot but why do you do it? Do you study as well?

It's good to be a newly-minted member of the club.

Score: 770 (Q50, V44)

I took the GMAT in Nov. 2008 and scored 700 (Q47, V39), so this was a re-take for me.

760 (45V/98%;49Q/87%). AWA 6.0 (90%)
Took test Oct 21, 2009.

Decided in August that I'd give b-school apps a shot (more because I was bored at work than anything), initially planned on just applying to UCLA and USC's part-time programs. Found this forum a few weeks prior to the test, though I've been using it more for tips on the actual applications and comparing various schools (now planning on applying to a handful of top programs just to see what happens).

Used the Official Guide and the Princeton Review's 'Cracking the GMAT' books. Found that the practice was the best way to improve in general and you can't beat the Official Guide for that, and the 'Cracking the GMAT' book had some good tips for math review and sentence correction. Also did a slew of Manhattan GMAT and GMATPrep practice tests (oddly enough never scoring above 710).
