In my opinion, at this point of time, they probably think more about who is really willing to attend if accepted. I think that's a strategy to maintain or increase the yield. Early interview notification avoids your interview conflict with other schools. I think Tepper is operating pretty smart. Forgive me, I am from an industry where the Lean idea is important.
It may have less to do with GMAT or GPA or any single parameter.
It could be an index combing the Test score, Work months, and Age. C'mon, we are talking about the best Computer Engineering school, it's easy for them to come out such a program and select the first batch without even physically reading any applications.
Just curious, how many of you guys who got an invite were waived for app fee? If majority, that could better support my guess.
