Hey guys
Pretty standard question here. My resume is 1 page---everyone across the finance world/web seems to agree that a 1 page only resume is a must.
However, Tepper allows 2 pages a requests 12 point font. My resume is 11 point font and when I make it 12 the resume expands to about 1.5 pages.
I have a lot of extracurriculars and can not really shrink it without taking away good material.
Do you guys think it is okay to go to 1.5 pages. Even tough Tepper days 2 is okay do you think that if I go over 1 they will look down upon me as "outta the loop?"
I would disagree slightly with one of earlier answers to this question.
If the school says 2 page resume is fine, then I think you must try to utilize that bit of leeway to your advantage, isn't it?
After all you would want to highlight your achievements of your professional career without missing out on critical details.
I think 1.5 pages should be fine provided you have moved firms and need to put in those extra details for every job change.
I had a 1 page resume but when I changed to 12 size font, it went to 1.5 pages. But in my case I have over 11 years work experience and have moved 5 firms.
Hope that helps. All the best.
