Calling all Tepper-CMU Applicants(2016 Intake) Class of 2018

I just submitted my app. I can see awaiting status on GMAT & TOEFL scores. I just ordered CMU as recipient for my scores(GMAT+Toefl) and probably it will take 7-10 days to reach them. Will that affect my application?

Absolutely not. In fact, as long as all the supporting documents (GMAT, TOEFL, Recommendations, Transcripts..etc) are submitted before November 3, you are good.

Got a reply from admissions team:
Some of your checklist items, like the Official Test Score, will show a status of “awaiting” because our team has not yet begun to review your application components. Once our processing team gets to your application, the first thing they will do is go to our GMAT database and match your official score sent to make this checklist item green. This is still an manual matching process and we look at applications in the order that they are submitted. If you’ve sent your official score report to our code, there is nothing further you need to do at this time. We ask that you give our team up to a couple of weeks after the deadline to process the volume of applications, but sometimes you will hear from us much sooner. You will receive and email from us when you application is marked as complete, but feel free to keep checking your status page online as well.

So no need to worry if it shows "awaiting"

The admissions team got back to me asking me to submit the grading scale for my degrees: undergrad and postgrad.
We dont have it in my transcript though the same can be found online which I have uploaded.
Will that suffice?
No update yet in the application. Still showing as awaiting.

Do follow up with Adcom. They are very prompt and will get back to you.

I know it was a hard work to put across the applications for Tepper Round 1.

Now, it is the grueling wait for the interview. Tepper normally gives early interview so don't waste time and start preparing for the interviews.

Some of the questions Tepper adcom will ask you and those were no-brainer

Why MBA?
Why Tepper?
Why Now?
Walk through your resume.

Format all the answers in STAR format . What is STAR Format?
S-> Situation
T -> Task
A -> Action
R -> Result

So arrange the answers as much as possible in the above format.

If you are coming to Pittsburgh for an interview, do interact with current student - 2nd years and 1st years. Our Mini 1 finals are approaching so we might not be as available but one of us will always be there.

Internationals -> it will be a skype interview so do set up your skype id and put a professional pic as Skype Display pic. Once you get the Interview, do start practicing interview, its a whole different ball game.

They need the GPA computaion scale and I think the one provided by you should suffice.

Request you to share any info on last year's process on Tepper's interview calls. How soon did they start sending Interview invites? Till when did they send invites?

The deadline was same the last year too.
The first wave of invite was on the 8th of October last year and it was out by this time
The last invite went out somewhere around 5th of December and the Result date was 15th of December.
