In how much time will Amy and Stacy complete a particular task, if they work together at their respective constant rate?
(1) Amy, working at a constant rate, can complete the task in 15 days.
What about Stacy? A is insufficient. A & D are out.
(2) Stacy works less efficiently than Amy
How much lesser than Amy? Insufficient. B,C are out.
E is the ans.
In how much time will Amy and Stacy complete a particular task, if they work together at their respective constant rate?

Option E should be correct
Suppose Amy while working alone completes the work in A days and Stacy completes in B days where B>A
While working together they will complete the work in \(\frac{A*B}{A+B}\) days
Statement 1:
Amy works at a constant rate and completes the work in 15 days while working alone
We know nothing about Stacy's work rate.
Insufficient
Statement 2:
Stacy works less efficiently than Amy.
So, Stacy might complete the work in 20 days or 30 days anything.
Not Sufficient
When we club both together:
Amy works in 15 days.
Stacy's number of days taken could be anything >15
Not Sufficient.
Neither statements is sufficient.
Option E
