Hi All,
I have my GMAT in August 2020 and I just wanted to ask you to help build my study plan for the upcoming 2-3 months.
A brief background:I am a commerce/ business graduate from New Delhi, India.
I attempted GMAT twice and scored: First Attempt:V33, Q42 : 620 and Second Attempt: V34, Q47 : 640.
As you can see, I haven't improved much and however pathetic it may sound, while I was giving my GMAT, I was not 100% focused on the exam. Rather I was focused on my relationship issues with my boyfriend (now ex).
I have a fear of Quant and so before my second attempt, I studied by giving multiple quant mixed bag tests. I used to consider Verbal as my strong part but it seems highly unlikely looking at my scores.
Quant: I consider the Jamboree material for Quant as my Bible for revising concepts because I took Jamboree classes and my instructor was really good. I have practiced the entire red book and the
OG. I have also taken multiple mixed bag tests for quant from Jamboree online portal.
Verbal: Apart from the Red Book and
OG, I enrolled for
eGMAT Verbal online course and I am about to finish it soon. I am on the verge of completion of the course and I can see that I am not improving on CR despite the pre-thinking strategy taught in the course.
Another important fact: I am dealing with depression but lately studying for GMAT is helping me focus on my future and I want to score 700+ on the test to apply for 2021 intake. The external factors which affected me during my previous two attempts (my ex boyfriend) is not there so I can even say that my mind will not be pre-occupied with worrying about my sad relationship.
Request you to let me know what further I can do to improve my score. Please help me with a good strategy. I have started revising the Quant concepts and will be moving onto mixed bag practice tests. I am about to finish the
eGMAT course also for Verbal.
The resources which I have with me are Jamboree Red Book and Blue Book, The
OG, the
eGMAT online portal with all the tests, the Princeton Review online portal with all the tests.
Please please help me plan as to which question packs I should plan solve to improve my score to a good 720 range.
Thanks in advance!
