(1) p=n²+1, where n is an integer
(2) p² > 200

1) if n = 2, p = 5
if n = 4, p = 17
if n = 6, p = 37
Insuff...

2.) p can be anything 17, 37, 41, 43, etc.
Insuff...

Combined,
p can be 17 or 37

Therefore, E.

Q32. Is the prime number p=37 ?

(1) p=n²+1, where n is an integer
(2) p² > 200
1) is generic rule applicable to many prime numbers !!! 2,5,17,37 etc
2)p^2>20 is applied to most ,17,37,etc

1) and 2) 17,37 both obey which to select ambiguity !!IMO E

Hi guys,

IMO: E

it's given that p is a prime number

1 n=1 is valid. n=2 is valid. n=6 is valid. Therefore, not suff.

2 there are several prime number which square is greater than 200. Not suff.

1+2
n=4 -> p=17 -> p^2>200
n=6 -> p=37 -> p^2>200

Not suff.
