I feel the need to improve my knowledge beyond just consultancy domain and to have a holistic view of finance, marketing, HR etc. to better manage my future goals.
However, my post MBA goal is to remain in consultancy field only.
Target Schools: Please help me select a balanced list of schools for myself. I believe MBA is once and want to pursue from some of the best colleges across the world.
My target list : Kellog, Wharton, ISB, INSEAD, Yale, Tuck, darden, Duke (Let me know to add and remove which of the schools from the list based on your profile evaluation)
Thanks in advance for your valuable time and let me know if you need any further information.
Hello there good sir (or is it madame?)
Well you are starting off good with great grades and a very good GMAT which should lay a very solid base for your future application. In addition, you seem to have some good solid NGO experience (although it could be a bit longer), and some interesting activities.
The only thing is, you are about one to two years too early for an MBA. With just two years of work experience, esp. coming from India, you are not likely to have enough experience for many of the top programs. So my first suggestion would be for you to wait another year, and in the meanwhile do what you can to improve your profile, like by advancing at work, or taking on more NGO work.
But otherwise you are in very good shape!
Best,
