1. x+y=180 , value of y given . Hence, we can find out x
2. x=z (corresponding angles are equal). Hence we can determine the value of x.

Since both are individually sufficient. Answer- D

both are sufficient
1) x+y = 180
y = 87
thus x = 180-87 = 93 sufficient
2) given z = 93 and z = x corresponding equal angles since l1 and l2 are parallel
hence x = 93 sufficient

In the figure above, lines l1 and l2 are parallel. What is the value of x ?

(1) y = 87, X+y =180 as both are supplementary, so X = 93, sufficient.
(2) z = 93, sufficient. X and z are corresponding angles of two parallel lines.
