Had my interview with a 2nd year MBA student, with a member from the Adcom listening in as well. The interview went well overall, and the student I interviewed with has ended up being helpful with the admissions process. Tell me about yourself Why MBA? What do you want to do at Cornell/Johnson? What is something you did that you enjoyed, but you would never do again? What is an example from your professional life of giving feedback? How did it go?

Just finished my interview. A bit different than other schools - for sure. Don’t be like me, where I didn’t see the requirement that an ID was required. So I had to remove my background effect (needless to say, a messy room). It was a 2nd year student and had questions regarding GPA, GMAT, Quant proficiency, etc...

Why Johnson 4. About Ithaca 5. Short term/long term goals. 6. Plan b for short term goals 7. Clubs that you would like to join 8. How do you plan to achieve your short term goals. 9. Any incident/project etc that you have succeeded at but would not want to do again. 10. Questions for them. The order was a bit different. But overall conversational and good. They do check for photo id, so keep your passport handy. I was told that the decision would be out in 2-3 weeks latest by dec 6. 1

Hi There, I'm done. Quick Brief; The interviewer told me not to think she isn't paying attention if I see her looking elsewhere; it's because she's taking notes. Please note it isn't a blind interview as well. Questions Asked: - Introduce yourself and give context to your resume and how you got to this point you're at now - Why now - What is your leadership style - Where do you want to work post-MBA - Have you marked out how you're going to achieve this? - Would you like to live in Ithaca? - In what city do you intend to live/work post-MBA - Do you have any questions (s)for me? That's all, thanked each other. She also mentioned that I would hear back from the school in November.

The interview + Q&A session was short. Total time = 30mins. Blind interview with a current 2nd year student who has only seen your resume + some notes/questions from ad com. 1. Tell me about yourself. 2. How have you prepared yourself to prepare for the academic and quantitative rigor of the MBA program? 3. Why Johnson? Why MBA? Have you reached out to current students? 4. What is your short-term and long-term goal? 5. Why consulting? 6. How have you prepared yourself for intensive recruitment for consulting? 7. Have you participated in any pre-MBA consulting programs? 8. What's your plan B if consulting doesn't work out? I'm not sure how well I did. The questions I got were very different from other interviewees.

My Interview was done on 16th Nov by a second year student. She was not even remotely connected to my domain so it was very mechanical on her part, though I would say she tried her best. It started with small talk about weather, cricket world cup, etc 1. TMAY 2. Why MBA 3. Why Johnson 4. What kind of a leader you want to be? 5. What you want to learn outside the classroom? 6. Anything i didnt ask 7. questions for her I would say I gave it pretty well, hoping for the best!

Had my interview with a 2nd-year student. Very conversational, mostly seemed to be digging into my background because it is non-standard (military) and my goals because they too are non-standard (construction/real estate/development). 1. Tell me about yourself 2. What are you looking to get out of an MBA 3. Goals 4. I didn't get any explicit TMAT questions - just about my experience in project management, recruiting plan, back-up plan Lasted a little over 30 minutes with my questions at the end included in time (roughly 20 minute interview 10 minute questions from me).
