General Strategies Want to score 720+

Can you provide some more information on what exactly you have been doing to learn GMAT quant? Once I have that information, I can provide some additional advice.

Most GMAT questions are written so that they can be approached in more than one way. By extension, if you have a pacing problem (and end up having to 'rush' to finish the Verbal section), then it's likely that "your way" of approaching questions is the "long way" - and there are almost certainly faster, more strategic approaches that you could be using. Learning those methods requires more than just learning a few "tips" though; you have to train to consistently work through the proper steps and take advantage of all of the built-in patterns that appear in the Verbal section. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hello Scott

Well, I gave my first official GMAT mock without preparation on 13 March 2023 and scored 610(Q48 V27).
Thereafter, I started solving quant question from Manhattan Guides. I am planning to solve Official guide once I am done solving MGMAT.
Currently, I am able to solve questions but take longer time than required. Eg. 3-4 minutes for a high reasoning question.

For verbal, I am trying to focus on the Sentence Correction and Critical Reasoning Part from Manhattan and Wizako's Youtube Channel.

Thank you for the help. Here's a brief information about my studying pattern.

Studies:
(1) I just started with my GMAT prep somewhere around mid March 2023. Currently, I study for about 2-3 hours per day. Since I am college student, I can even contribute more after a while.

(2) I am preparing from Manhattan Guides and solved few questions from GMAT club's question bank. I am planning to use Official Guides after I familiarise myself with question solving strategy or approach. You can correct me if this is a wrong approach, as I am a complete naive person.

(3) Well, I gave my first GMAT official mock test without preparation on 13 March 2023 and scored 610(Q48 V27). After this test, I started studying for the actual test. Moreover, I intend to give my exam in June (probably first week).

Goals:

(1) I want to score 750 but I will consider a 720 score safe for me.

(2) I will apply for MiM in September 2024. My dream schools are:
HEC Paris, LBS, ESSEC, SSE, ESCP, TUM, Frankfurt, and Rotterdam

Since you have a list of Schools that you are interested in (including some highly-competitive Programs), you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement (and the more time that you have to act on that advice, the better). For Quant, have you spent much time learning concepts or strategies? Your path to speeding up in Quant may be to learn some basics for each topic you work on before doing more practice questions involving a topic. Knowing a key concept or a good strategy can make a huge difference.
