K03 - how'd it go - was the discussion re: fellowships related to the interview?
It was a quick skype video call. Couple of classical questions (greatest challenge, greatest accomplishment, why did you choose your career etc.) It went well overall but:
- I was asked for a lot of details on why Columbia was a good fit for me: e.g. course names etc. and was only able to give little.
- I have an NGO background and tried to sound like a business guy. I learned at the end of the call that the fellowship I was being considered for (80k$) was for people with specific career objectives in the humanitarian/development fields.
Overall I don't think I'll get it. If so I probably won't take the CBS offer.
