total students 86 comprises of 12 students who study all 3 subject plus students alone + all student studies 2 subjects

II + III + I(H) + I(P) + I(E) = 86 ------(a)

Again 2* II + 3*III+ I(H) + (P) + I(E) = 38+44+52----(b)
(b) - (a)

48 = II +2*12

48 = II + 24
II= 24

II -> total students study 2 subjects
III -> students study all 3 subjects

I(H) + I(P) + I(E) - II + III= 86

where II (Two subjects)
III (three Subjects)

44+52+38-x+12=86
X= 60

Now this X is sum of all students studying 2 subjects.
Consider 60-12-12-12 [because 12 is considered thrice (draw a Venn diagram yourself)]

Therefore, Exactly two subjects: 60-36=24.
