What is 5 percent of x ?

(1) $$x = 200$$

$$\frac{5}{100}*x=\frac{5}{100}*200= 10$$

Sufficient

(2) $$10$$ percent of $$x$$ is $$20$$.

$$\frac{10}{100}*x = 20$$

Donc $$x=200$$

so $$\frac{5}{100}*x=\frac{5}{100}*200= 10$$

we can solve this question using Logic, no need to calculate. In order to find 5%*x, we need the value of x.
(1) gives us this directly.
(2) is one equation with one variable ==> we can definitely find x.
Conclusion: both are sufficient!
