Re: A Look Into Class Profiles [#permalink]
I am an engineering final year student and I always wanted to work in a Management Consultancy. I decided to pursue a MSc in Management to change my career path from Engineering. Since I applied really late(April'2012) most schools in Europe were almost done with their this years enrollment.
However I have offers from the following schools:
Warwick, Cass, Grenoble,Edinburgh and Strathclyde. I am on the reserve list for LSE(as their class was full but my application was strong so they have put me on a reserve list)
I am waiting to hear from Imperial and Rotterdam.

While the FT Times ranks Grenoble really high, I am not sure if its a good course. Cass is ranked as the third best in UK but I have always seen people saying Warwick is a more reputed business school. I have to pay my deposit at Cass by June 1 and I am really confused.

Please help me with the pro's and con's of each school. Specially considering that I need a school that will help me network in the management consultancy field!

You should also add HEC Paris. It has a MSc in Management and an MSc in Strategic Management. Both very highly ranked too.

Well we did a survey of over 120 MiM students from ESCP, HEC and LBS and published a really interesting study called the "MiM Survey'15- What is the profile of a MiM student".

We were basically looking to answer questions such as
-What are the admission committees of top Masters in Management schools looking for?
-What is the average class profile of a MiM school? Where is the bar for the admission set?
-How does one maximize his chances of admission into LBS, HEC, ESCP, Fuqua or IE??

And we made some very surprising discoveries, especially when it comes to GMAT scores. We all thought that top MiM schools had very stringent GMAT cutoffs, well it turns out there are ways around it.

For example i am attaching part of the survey to the thread.
You can check out the full survey at: https://mim-essay.com/profile-evaluation?gcf
Hope it helps.

Very useful info on this thread. Those looking at MSc in Strategy programs should add the MSc in Strategy Consulting and Digital Transformation at EDHEC, and the MSc in Management and Strategy at LSE, to their list too.

Hey guys,

Along with LBS,ESSEC, ESADE, you might also want to check out HEC's MSc in Strategic Management program as well.
HEC enjoys a Harvard like status for its MiM and other early career degrees - While the competition the competition will always be tough for HEC, the MSc Strategic management is a bit easier to get into than the mainstream MiM Program.
