Total Distance traveled is 26 miles = 26*16/10 km = 41.6km = 41600 meters.
Water stand after every 500 meters, i.e, 41600/500 = 83 water stands.
Time taken to complete the marathon is 2hr 15min or 135 minutes.
Time taken by the runner to go from one stand to another is 135/83 = $$1\frac{52}{83}$$ half of 83 is 41.5. So time taken is more than 30 sec.
hence the answer is 1min 40 sec
